PA BOOTCAMP offers a two-day
course, five hours
of instruction each day. The
course covers all
aspects of the job of Production Assistant in the
movie/television business. Also covered in detail is how
the entire set interacts on a daily basis, and the function
of each crew member.
PA BOOTCAMP is taught by currently working industry
professionals so students get an authentic, inside view of
job expectations, responsibilities, and proper behavior on
the set of a production.
PA BOOTCAMP is taught outdoors, which is where PAs work most
of the time, in a Los Angeles area park. As part of the
course, each
participant will be put on the walkie-talkies actually used
on set and instructed on the proper usage. They will
receive samples of set paperwork, such as call sheets,
one-liners, sides, production reports, and learn the purpose
of each document.
CLASS SIZE is restricted to five participants per session so
that each “camper” gets the full attention of the
instructor.
